The Pangean Empire is drawing closer to its ever growing goal of worldwide foreign recognition. We have recieved news from our friends in Niger that they will soon be signing a formal recognition treaty with us! At that point we will send them aid in Niger to help their political and military movement.

It has been a long time since we have posted news about the empire, so we will do so now. First we would like to say that we are gaining more support for the empire on our petition. Please sign now so that we can have more support.

In legal news, we have more legal support for our claims. Because Nicaragua and Pakistan both refuse relations with two UN members. Also China is not recognized by 22 UN members. Therefore these nations claims on Pangean Empire land cannot be accepted as legal.

Finally we would like to add that the State of Kentucky has awarded the emperor with the honor of Kentucky Colonel. The emporer is now styled as HIM Col. Andrew S. Edwards Esq.

Honors

The Pangean Empire is pleased to announce on this Easter Sunday that we has more signatures on our signature than the population of Pitcairn Island (the worlds smallest jurisdiction/ smallest UN designated country or territory). This is a great honor for the Pangean Empire. We hope that this now lead to official recognition from nations. Our next goal is to pass the population of Vatican City (pop. 800). Please help us by signing:

Also this week, as we aproach the Birthday of His Imperial Majesty Andrew S. Edwards (April 6) we anounce that the Emperor has been nominated by a Kentucky Colonel to receive the title of Colonel himself. If he receives this honor he will have an honor shared with H.M. Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, and many others. This would be another great honor for the Pangean Empire.

This was done in an attempt to gain further recognition for the state.

A bit slow

Work is a bit slow here with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defence lately. Talks with developing ally's is continuing and we are hoping for a treaty or diplomatic recognition by the end of the week. As for getting the Empire known to the people of the world, we have begun a campaign to put the Pangean Empire on Wikipedia and we hope more people will come to know the Pangean Empire.

In other news around the Imperial Government, the Emperor has decided today to begin looking for possible ways to improve revenue for the Empire. Nothing has been decided as of yet, but new forms of revenue are expected soon. Finally, the nation has begun preparing for the Emperor's birthday since it is only 3 weeks from today.

Bigger strides

Today the Pangean Empire has formed an international petition to try to encourge world governments and the UN to accept the Pangean Empire as a legitimate nation. Nearly seconds after posting the large petition people had already begun to sign it to show their support of the nation. Anyone who wishes to sign may do so at:

http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/pangeanempire/

The Foreign Relations Department has also declared its intent today to become the first nation to officially recognize a Native American tribe. The Pangean Empire does not wish to make enemies the the United States in doing this, so is only recognizing certain tribes that are already federally recognized there.

Finally in the world of the military several breakthroughs have been made. First is security breakthroughs in the ability to do more background research into military personel and more security features for the military identification cards. This will mean a stronger and more secure military that cannot be made weak by fragments of enemies. The second breakthrough is in a new chemical combination for the chlorine gas. This will make it more stable but also more potent. The military says it has only made small quantities to keep it even more secure and because it is only for defense testing.

Making huge progress!

Today is a good day for the Pangean Empire! The Pangean Empire today has gained sovereignty over Katchatheevu Island (between India and Sri Lanka) today on google maps! This is a great stride in gaining full power over the island.

In more news of gaining full power over the Empire, we have moved forward in talks with a pro-western group in Africa. We hope to get both de jure and de facto diplomatic recognition from them as well from nearly 6 other territories that we are beginning talks with.

We have also made great advances with the website today, adding a few pictures and a French page.

His Imperial Majesty Andrew S. Edwards has commended the Foreign Relations staff and now hopes to see great strides in Internal Affairs also.

The Next Level

Posted by Pangean Army on March 6, 2010 at 11:59 AM

We have now built our website and mover away from our old page in another website so that we may further seek recognition as a nation. We will soon be using our foreign contacts to try and assume official national recognition so that we may apply for observer status at UN.

Soon this site will have pages in Spanish, French, Italian, and hopefully Mandarin. We will also soon be naming our Regional Auxiliary Commanders.
